If you need a different site, library, or folder, create a new configuration.</p>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1jq34oh6012r\">Name the sync</h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Review the auto-filled <strong>Name</strong>.</li>\n<li>Change it if needed so it is easy to identify later.</li>\n</ol>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1jq34oh6012s\">What to sync</h3>\n<p>You can limit which files are synced.</p>\n<h4>File extensions</h4>\n<p>Enter a comma-separated list such as <code>pdf,docx,pptx</code>.</p>\n<p>Leave this blank to include all <a href=\"https://portal.helpfruit.com/knowledge/articles/ca33141a-e714-483e-fb1e-08debacbbb49#supported-file-types\">supported file types</a>.</p>\n<h4>Include subfolders</h4>\n<p>Turn on <strong>Include subfolders</strong> to sync files from nested folders as well.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<div><img src=\"https://storage.faqbot.nz/prod/0d5220bc9ad14992d05108dccd460f35/files/pasted_image_article_sync-sharepoint-files-with-drive-sync_12058fd8-3f16-4159-80bc-b28bdfe737d5.png\" width=\"800\"></div>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1jq34oh6012t\">Set the schedule</h3>\n<p>Choose how often the sync should run:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Daily</strong></li>\n<li><strong>Weekly</strong></li>\n<li><strong>Monthly</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p>Specify the time of day to sync, then choose the timezone.</p>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1jq34oh6012u\">Save or run now</h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Click <strong>Save</strong> to create the configuration and wait for the next scheduled run.</li>\n<li>Click <strong>Save &amp; sync now</strong> to create the configuration and start the first sync immediately.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2 id=\"manage-an-existing-sync\">Manage an existing sync</h2>\n<p>On the edit page, you can change:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>the sync name</li>\n<li>whether the sync is enabled</li>\n<li>file extensions included</li>\n<li>whether subfolders are included</li>\n<li>the schedule</li>\n<li>the timezone</li>\n</ul>\n<p>You cannot change the SharePoint site, document library, or source folder after saving.</p>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1jq34oh6012v\">Pause scheduled syncing</h3>\n<p>Uncheck <strong>Scheduled sync</strong> to pause scheduled syncs without deleting the configuration.</p>\n<p>You can still use <strong>Sync now</strong> while the configuration is disabled.</p>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1jq34oh60130\">Run a sync manually</h3>\n<p>Click <strong>Sync now</strong> to check SharePoint immediately and update the assistant’s files.</p>\n<p>This will:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>add new files</li>\n<li>update changed files</li>\n<li>remove files that are no longer in the SharePoint source or no longer match the filter</li>\n</ul>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1jq34oh60131\">Delete a configuration</h3>\n<p>Click <strong>Delete</strong> to remove the sync configuration.</p>\n<p>Deleting a configuration also removes the files that were synced by that configuration from the assistant’s file library.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<div><img src=\"https://storage.faqbot.nz/prod/0d5220bc9ad14992d05108dccd460f35/files/pasted_image_article_sync-sharepoint-files-with-drive-sync_a748b529-72e8-4dfc-baab-ee4818225f21.png\" width=\"400\"></div>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<h2 id=\"check-the-sync-log\">Check the Sync Log</h2>\n<p>The Sync Log shows what happened during each file sync operation.</p>\n<p>You can open it from:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Drive Sync</strong></li>\n<li><strong>Files</strong></li>\n<li><strong>Integrations</strong></li>\n<li><strong>Web Crawl</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1jq34oh60132\">What you can see</h3>\n<p>Each row shows:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>File name</strong></li>\n<li><strong>Type</strong> — upload or delete</li>\n<li><strong>Status</strong> — pending, processing, success, failed, or skipped</li>\n<li><strong>Created</strong></li>\n<li><strong>Completed</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p>Expand a row to view more detail, including content type, source identifier, source URL, and processing log.</p>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1jq34oh60133\">Filter the log</h3>\n<p>You can filter by status, type, and date range. Use <strong>Reset</strong> to clear all filters.</p>\n<h2 id=\"supported-file-types\">Supported file types</h2>\n<p>Drive Sync only adds supported assistant file types.</p>\n<p>Supported file types:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><code>.c</code></li>\n<li><code>.cs</code></li>\n<li><code>.cpp</code></li>\n<li><code>.doc</code></li>\n<li><code>.docx</code></li>\n<li><code>.html</code></li>\n<li><code>.java</code></li>\n<li><code>.json</code></li>\n<li><code>.md</code></li>\n<li><code>.pdf</code></li>\n<li><code>.php</code></li>\n<li><code>.pptx</code></li>\n<li><code>.py</code></li>\n<li><code>.rb</code></li>\n<li><code>.tex</code></li>\n<li><code>.txt</code></li>\n<li><code>.css</code></li>\n<li><code>.js</code></li>\n<li><code>.sh</code></li>\n<li><code>.ts</code></li>\n<li><code>.vtt</code></li>\n</ul>\n<p>These file types are not supported as assistant files through Drive Sync:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excel files such as <code>.xlsx</code></li>\n<li>CSV files</li>\n<li>image files</li>\n<li>video files</li>\n<li>zip files</li>\n</ul>\n<h2 id=\"troubleshooting\">Troubleshooting</h2>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1jq34oh60134\">I cannot see the Drive Sync tab</h3>\n<p>Ask your system admin to check that Drive Sync has been set up for your organisation.</p>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1jq34oh60135\">Microsoft authentication expired</h3>\n<p>Click <strong>Re-authenticate</strong>, complete the sign-in flow, then run the sync again.</p>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1jq34oh60136\">A file is missing from the assistant</h3>\n<p>Check that:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>the file is in the selected SharePoint library or folder</li>\n<li><strong>Include subfolders</strong> is turned on if the file is in a nested folder</li>\n<li>the file type is supported</li>\n<li>the Sync Log does not show the file as skipped or failed</li>\n</ul>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1jq34oh60137\">A file did not update</h3>\n<p>Check the next scheduled sync time. If needed, open the configuration and click <strong>Sync now</strong>.</p>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1jq34oh60138\">I need to sync a different folder</h3>\n<p>Create a new Drive Sync configuration for the new location.
