enabled and authenticated, your assistant may be able to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>read Outlook email metadata and messages</li>\n<li>draft new emails and replies</li>\n<li>read calendar events</li>\n<li>read Teams and chat content</li>\n<li>search OneDrive and SharePoint files</li>\n<li>help you find documents, meeting context, and recent information</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The exact Microsoft options available depend on:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>what your organisation has enabled</li>\n<li>which assistant you are using</li>\n<li>whether you have authenticated your Microsoft account</li>\n<li>whether your admin has set up standard Microsoft 365 connectors or the broader <a href=\"https://help.thetaassist.ai/article/m365-tools-mcp-server-admin-guide\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">M365 Tools MCP server</a></li>\n</ul>\n<h2 id=\"quick-guide-connect-your-microsoft-account\">Quick guide: connect your Microsoft account</h2>\n<p>Use these steps if Microsoft options have already been enabled for the assistant and you just need to connect your own account.</p>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1jmn1enf4an\">Before you start, make sure</h3>\n<ul>\n<li>you are using an assistant with connectors enabled (you can see the wrench icon)</li>\n<li>you have access to the Microsoft 365 account you want to use</li>\n<li>your browser allows pop-ups</li>\n</ul>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1jmn1enf4ao\">Connect your account</h3>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<div><img dot?&nbsp;A red dot means one or more connectors still need authentication.\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-roman;\">\n<li>In the connector list, find the Microsoft option you want to use.</li>\n<li>Click <strong>Authenticate</strong>.</li>\n<li>Sign in with your Microsoft account in the pop-up window.</li>\n<li>Review the permissions and approve them if prompted.</li>\n<li>Return to Theta Assist and confirm the red dot has disappeared.</li>\n</ol>\n</li>\n</ol>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1jmn1enf4ap\">Once connected...</h3>\n<p>Once connected, you can start asking for help with the Microsoft data you already have access to.</p>\n<p>For example, you might ask the assistant to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>summarise recent emails about a project</li>\n<li>find a file across Teams, OneDrive, or SharePoint</li>\n<li>show what your next week looks like</li>\n<li>pull together context for an upcoming meeting</li>\n</ul>\n<h3 id=\"if-you-do-not-see-the-wrench-icon-or-do-not-see-microsoft-as-an-option\">If you do not see the wrench icon, or do not see Microsoft as an option</h3>\n<p>If you don't see the wrench icon, it means that assistant does not have any tools connected that require authentication.</p>\n<p>If Microsoft is not listed when you open the wrench menu, it usually means the assistant or organisation has not enabled it yet.</p>\n<p>In either case you can:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>ask the assistant author to enable Microsoft 365 connectors for that assistant; or</li>\n<li>ask your admin to configure Microsoft connectors access for your&nbsp;organisation</li>\n</ul>\n<p>A simple message you can send is:</p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>I want to use Outlook and Teams with this assistant.
